New Years Glitter Nails

2013 Is coming to a close and I couldnt be happier. I feel its time to wipe the slate clean.

This manicure is simple but effective. Glitter seems to fit the new year because its just so bright and festive! I added 2014 to the ring finger to make a new year themed mani.

I started off using Funky Fingers "Love Park" nail polish which consisted of small silver and torquoise circles and some large silver hexes.

I then added SHE makeup "Sapphire City" nail polish and used the glitter placement method to apply large torquoise Hexes.

I then applied a top coat to seal in the glitter and added 2014 to the ring finger to finish off the manicure.

Colorful Glitter Nails

I know I love a nail polish when, I just cant stop staring at my nails! This is one of those polishes. This indie nail polish brand is so awesome! I won their giveaway a while back and got to pick any two polishes i wanted. And my god im in love with their polish. This nail polish is called Surprise Me. Its a clear base polish that goes great on any polish! It consists of dot/circle glitters and some hexes.

I applied the clear base to OPI's Incognito in Suasalito.

This OPI polish is a dark blue almost black color. It dries fast and only needs one coat to achieve the color in the bottle.

This is just one coat of surprise me.

This is two coats of Surprise Me over OPI
Incognito in Suasalito.

I would recommend this to everyone!

Christmas/December Nail Art

This month has come and gone so fast! I had a ton of fun doing christmas theme nails. My favorite mani this month where the nails i did inspired by Miley Cyrus. She was riding a christmas ornament and wrecked the snowmen. Haha overall this month was amazing. Had an amazing time with family this christmas and hopefully everyone else did too. Happy Holidays!

Christmas Bow Nails

Its the time of the season to do some christmas nail art!

First nail art of the month i decided to do something simple yet chriatmas-y.

How i achieved this manicure:

I started off with a base coat. I use Orly Nail Armor and i absolutely love it. After that i painted my nails white, the brand was Wet N wild. When the white had dried i applyed one coat of Wet N Wild Kaleidoscope. Its so beautiful! I recommend you buy it if you like toppers! And it was only a buck at my local store. Such a great deal. After that i painted a bow on my ring finger to act as an accent nail. After i painted the stripes on the rest if my nails to act as if it was a gift.

No shave November/ Movember

In honor of No Shave November and Movember i decided to do some minion nails with moustaches!

No Shave November is an organization to spread cancer awareness by growing out their hair. Ladies, let those leg hairs grow and men, let there bread grow wild.

Movember is also a cancer awareness organization who particularly raises awearness about pancreatic cancer and people let their hair grow also.

I Thought it would be a neat idea to do minions with moustaches. Their already cute as they are but with moustaches it just puts them over the top (:

Thanksgiving Nail Art

November, The month where one can stuff their face and work it off the same night running around the mall black friday shopping. This month has come and gone too quickly in my opinion.

I did three manicures relating to thanksgiving this month. I would usually have done more but it was actually a pretty busy month for me. Overall thanksgiving was a blast and i had alot of fun doing these manicures.

Spider Web Nails

For this Halloween manicure I decided to do something simple. Ive been doing a lot of intricate nail art lately and I thought I would do something easier. This picture does not do the nail polish justice. Its more of an orange than yellow.

I love this color! It is actually very quick to dry. It is a bit of a transparent color so it needs about 3 coats to get a perfect shade. Since the nail polish dried fairly fast adding coat after coat was a piece of cake. This nail polish also does drys matte.

Items Used

Orly Nail Armor
Out the Door Topcoat
Orly Matte Top
Apple Barrel Black Acrylic Paint
American Painter Liner Brush 18/0
China Glaze "Sun Worshiper"

Scream Nail Art

Boo! Since Halloween is just around the corner I felt these are appropriate to be my first post!

It's actually one of my more simple nail designs because I did this on my right hand. I usually do nail art on my left hand because it's easier to paint since I'm a righty. Confusing?
 hope not.
I do all my nail art using acrylic paint because it is easier to work with than nail polish. Although, I always use nail polish as a base for my background color. Well I honestly have no idea how to do this blog so I'm just learning as i go.
